A Victorian brass bound and strung rosewood dressing case
fitted with the following silver-gilt mounted items: three shouldered glass toilet water/scent bottles of square section; two cylindrical glass jars; four circular glass boxes of different sizes (two with screw-down covers); three oblong glass boxes, the glass cut with gothic fluting (some chips); also containing a small lift-out section fitted with the following steel items: a folding corkscrew; a corkscrew cum piercer; scissors; a bodkin; 4 manicure items; a penknife; also a pencil and a dip pen, the mounts by C. Rawlings & W. Summers, 1844, initialled, the lock complete with key, the box with leather outer case, 14oz. weighable silver.
