the 4in compass card in liquid filled gimballed bowl stamped and numbered E. Dent & Co. Ltd. No.52488, set within square brass housing with turned handle, top port with cover, side ports with runners for shade slide and viewing port, mahogany base with hinged hatch stamped and numbered and with pasted instructions inside with inked date for 10/7/02, spare candle stowage, securing clamp and candle brackets/lashing points -- 15in. (38cm.) high
