by George Philip & Son Limited, marked The London Geographical Institute, made up of twelve printed and coloured paper gores with polar calottes (some old abrasions and damages, paper loss to the southern polar calotte), with brass meridian half-circle (unengraved), on bakelite stand -- 7in. (17.8cm.) high; and a students instruction globe, 6in. (15.2cm.) diameter, the matt black painted surface with the continents outlined in white, with lacquered-brass knop and arm, on baluster-turned support and ebonised stand -- 12in. (30.5cm.) high
