A well presented and detailed 1:72 scale waterline model of the paddle tug John H. Amos of circa 1931
modelled by C. Hooper in rock maple, apple, box and holly with stayed mast with lanterns, anchors, anchor winch, ventilators, bollards, lockers, companionways, superstructure with glazed bridge, helm, helmsman and binnacle, deckrails, life belt, two ship's boats in davits, stayed funnel with safety valve extension pipe and hooter, engine room lights, deck lights and other details. The hull, with paddle boxes with steps and rudder is finished in red to the waterline, black and varnish, and mounted on a painted moulded seascape within mahogany glazed display case. Measurements overall -- 11 x 25in. (29.2 x 65.5cm.)
