A detailed boardroom display model of the Union Industrielle & Maritime cargo ship S.S. Capitaine Jean Fougere, circa 1947
and modelled by A. Lemonnier with masts, derricks, anchors, winches, deck rails, bollards, fairleads, bell, companionways, reels, ventilators, covered and open hatches, superstructure with glazed bridge and open binaacle over with wind shield, stayed funnel with UIM motife, hooter and safety valve extension pipe, engine room lights, lockers, aft helm and binnacle. The hull, finished in red and grey with single four blade propellor mounted on blocks with brass plate engraved U.I.M. Capitaine Jean Fougere/Construit en 1947 South Bank/Port en lourd: 5,040T/A. Lemonnier maqetiette Rouen, glazed cover -- 18 x 53in. (46 x 136cm.)
