with masts, derricks with rigging, radio and radar aerials, anchors, anchor davit, bollards, gratings, winches, ship's bell, hatch covers, deckrails, companionways, ladder, ventilators, deck winches, superstructure with glazed bridge and open bridge over, awning staunchions, funnel, two life boats and two ship's boats in davits, aft superstructure with crew accomodation and open deck over, emergency helm and binnacle and much other fine detailing (some damage to rigging). The hull, finished in brown, pink and black with painted and gold plated deck fittings is mounted on two turned metal columns, glazed display case with builders plates engraved M.S. Temple Main was built for the Temple Steam Ship Co. (Managers: Lambert Bros.) by the Caledon Ship Building & Engineering Co. at Dundee in 1958. Registered at 5,488 tons gross (2,756 net & 9,822 deadweight), she measured 458 feet in length overall with a 59 foot beam and was powered by two single-acting 4-cylinder Doxford engines developing 3,300bhp. to give a speed of 12 knots.
