Located on the banks of the Kankakee Rivers, the Bradley house is an expansive structure that appears to nearly float above its site. Almost indecipherable in photographs, the house has a strong Japanese influence witnessed in its flaring gables and ground hugging elevations. Mrs. Bradley was the sister of Mrs. Hickox (see lots 497 and 498) and Mrs. Charles Roberts, both of whom had houses designed by Wright. Mrs. Hickox' house was next door.
