The gorge case engraved overall with with swags of flowers on a pounced ground, the top with repeat button and bevelled glass engraved with a crest, the white enamel Roman chapter disc signed Ch. Oudin, Hger de la Marine Palais Royal, 52 Paris, with blued steel hands and subsidiary seconds ring at XII, alarm disc below, within a foliate engraved gilt mask, the twin barrel movement with a large silvered escapement platform with cut bimetalic balance to lever escapement, strike, repeat and alarm on a bell with three position strike selection lever in the base, the backplate signed Ch. Oudin Mdailles de 1806 A 1862 No. 572
