The case with twist mouldings and handle, the sides decorated with high relief multicoloured cloisonn enamel panels, one depicting a Japanese man examining a fire screen painted with a heron, the other of a Japanese lady near a bird perched on a stand, the dial with a yellow enamel chapter ring with Japanese chapters and pierced gilt hands, the cream enamel surround decorated with flowers and a butterfly, alarm ring below flanked by a vase and a rat, the movement with silvered lever platform and strike/repeat/alarm on a gong, the backplate with the Drocourt stamp and numbered 21211
