The case with gilt-metal handle to the inverted bell top with urn finials to the four angles, glazed sides and on gilt-metal bracket feet, the dial signed James Vick, London on a silvered rectangular plaque in the matted centre with calendar and decorated mock pendulum apertures, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter rings with half-hour markers, pierced blued steel hands (minute hand repaired), Indian-head and foliate spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the four pillar twin wire fusee movement with strike on bell and later anchor escapement, the pull quarter repeat now removed
