With white enamel arabic dial signed Anton Rettich in Wien with concentric calendar ring with counter poised blued pointer, pierced ormolu arrow-head hands, the glazed triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement and silk-suspended sunburst pendulum, quarter-strike on two bells, with similarly signed backplate, surmounted by ormolu ribbon-tied rose garlands on ormolu tensed animal legs flanked by flower-filled urns on an ebonized fruitwood plinth applied with griffins issuing Vitruvian scrolls, with an applied cartouche centering monogram AP, on an ebonized plinth above toupie feet-19½in. (49.5cm.) high, 12in. (31cm.) wide, 5½.in. (14cm.) deep
