Dom Pérignon--Vintage 1961 Good level. Label stained Tasting note: A magnum was served at the pre-sale tasting of our Geneva sale last November. Deep golden colour. A fine delicate mousse. Mature, smoky vanilla on the nose. Great intensity and definition. Ripe and creamy on the palate; quite structured, with firm acidity to balance the sweet fruit. Lovely clean finish. Excellent, and drinking at its peak. An ideal millennium bottle. (T. Hudson)
