Château Haut-Brion, Blanc--Vintage 1989
Pessac (Graves), cru classé. Château-bottled
In original wooden case
Tasting note: A small crop and a very small rendement, picked in August. First noted in November 1990: distinct yellow tinge, the deepest of the group of recent vintages of Haut-Brion and Laville. Nose 'cool', vanilla and pineapple, opening up fabulously; medium-sweet, full-bodied, assertive, rich, full of fruit. Spicy, cloves, new oak taste and aftertaste. Marvellous fruit, persistence of flavour.
