Maker's mark of Peter Rohde II, Danzig, circa 1675, also struck with Warsaw control mark of 1851-2
Cylindrical and on domed spreading base chased with foliage, the body repouss and chased with Moses, Aaron and Miriam and the drowning of Pharaoh's army, engraved with monogram in shield beneath coronet within crossed foliage and with coat-of-arms with initials DMZ, the domed cover chased with band of foliage and with applied figure of a swan on circular medallion chased to simulate water within openwork ribbon border, with bifurcated thumbpiece and partly reeded scroll handle, marked on base and cover
