The square stand with cut corners and on four detachable winged sphinx caryatid and lion's paw feet, the border chased with a broad band of rosettes and laurel swags on a matted ground, with gadrooned border and with openwork foliage, flowers and shells between, fitted with six plain vase-shaped egg-cups each with moulded rim, the central detachable ring handle formed as a serpent, marked on base and egg-cup base
