Second edition of this VERY RARE WORK ON FORTUNE-TELLING. The introduction is signed 'J.S.' 'Metoposcopy' is defined as 'lines in the face, and their significations, relating to good or bad fortune in man or woman' (p. 71). While Wing also cites a fourth edition of 1698 printed for E. Tracy, the first and third editions are apparently both unrecorded. Edward Arber Term Catalogues II, 172; Wing S-98, locating only one copy of the second edition (Bodleian).
