The Set of Small Landscapes, after Peter Paul Rubens: Fourteen Plates
engravings, circa 1650, from the set of twenty one (twenty after Rubens, one after Ertvelt), four duplicates, three plates in the second state (of five), nine plates in the fourth state, one plate without any address, one trimmed to image therefore state uncertain, on a variety of laid papers (two of the second states watermark bunch of grapes), the majority without watermark, with narrow margins or trimmed on or just inside the platemark, occasional surface dirt, minor soft creasing and defects at sheet edges and elsewhere, otherwise generally in fair to good condition, S. 338 x 457mm. (average); and the plate after Ertvelt from the same series, Sailing boats in a Tempest, (H. 325), in fairly good condition (15)
