The Raising of Lazarus: Small Plate
etching with touches of drypoint, 1642, first state (of two), a very good, early impression, with the light cross hatching on the forehead and the three lines behind Lazarus's head quite distinct, with burr on the thumb of Christ's right hand, with narrow margins on three sides, a narrow to thread margin at the top, a small made-up hole in the rocks upper left, a small thin patch and repair at the lower left corner fractionally affecting the signature, one or two further thin patches and very skilful, barely visible repairs, remains of old tape at three of the reverse corners, otherwise generally in good condition, framed
