Lot Essay

'Blondie' was a cocktail waiter at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich where the Duke played regularly. On one such visit, the Duke gave his autograph to all the staff. Unfortunately, 'Blondie' was away that day and subsequently asked the Duke's valet if the Duke would oblige. He was therefore pleased to receive both signatures direct from Paris.
