painted with the monogram A with blue flowers within an oval panel of pink roses, between mauve batons entwined with bands of flowers, and bands of flowers and leaves, blue interlaced L mark, date letter KK for 1788, painter's marks V:, possibly for Pierre-Jean-Baptiste Vand (chip to underside of saucer, some slight wear)
