An early English teddy bear
with golden mohair, large clear and black glass eyes painted on reverse, pronounced clipped snout, remains of black stitched nose, mouth and claws, swivel head, jointed shaped limbs, linen pads, card lined feet and hump --18in. (46cm.) tall, probably William J Terry, circa 1913 (slight loss of paint to eyes, loss of nose and mouth stitching, pads worn, slight overall wear to mohair)
