Lot Essay

Daniel Turner was a landscape, marine and portrait painter and engraver, best known for his views of London's riverside. He was a pupil of John Jones, the mezzotint engraver, and lived in Millbank. He exhibited London views at the Royal Academy from 1796 to 1801.
