A 3.1/8-inch (8cm.) diameter pocket terrestrial globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and Paris meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days, the oceans with Hawaii showing o fut tu le Capite Cook en fevrier 1779 , Antarctica with approximately half the coastline shown, the continents with nation states delineated in dotted outline and showing rivers, deserts and some cities (some old areas of abrasion and discolouration with slight loss of detail, small neatly repaired crack to southern Atlantic) with iron axis pins in turned ovoid fruitwood box, the lid with flat knop -- 4in. (10.8cm.) high
