An 1930's 12-inch diameter terrestrial lamp globe
unsigned, Printed in Great Britain, made up of eighteen chromolithographed gores laid on glass, the equatorial graduated in degrees, minutes and hours, the Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with symbols, the oceans showing an analemma and steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distances in nautical miles, the continents with nation states outlined in green, orange and brown and showing towns, cities, railway lines, rivers and mountains (some areas of discolouration and small paper loss), the Antarctic with metal collar to fit over bulb fitting on black bakelite base with decorative steel ring and electric flex -- 14in. (37.5cm.) high
