A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter Swedish terrestrial school's globe made up of twelve colour printed paper gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes and submarine cable lines, the continents with nation states coloured yellow, green and beige and showing towns, cities, rivers, mountains, railway lines, telegraph lines, caravan routes and the Great Wall of China, with printed hour dials at the North and South Poles (old abrasions and discolourations, slight crack around three quarters of the equator), with stamped brass meridian half-circle, raised on a baluster turned fruitwood column and plinth base -- 24in. (61cm.) high
