A 13-inch (33cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the Paris meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the oceans showing ocean currents, submarine cable routes, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure, the tracks of Vasco de Gama and Columbus, and four illustrations thnographiques comprising representations of the RACE ROUGE, RACE BLANCHE, RACE NOIRE and MALAIS with descriptions of where each race can predominantly be found, the Antarctic with complete projected coastline, the continents with nation states delicately shaded in green and yellow and showing towns, cities, rivers, mountains, railway and telegraph lines, Russia showing Petrograd (small areas of discolouration and old wrinkles), with brass acorn finial and turning wheel, on cast scroll decorated arm to tripod base with embossed faces of the race jaune, race noire and race rouge, terminating in lion's paw feet -- 21in. (54.6cm.) high
