A 14-inch (35.6cm.) diameter terrestrial relief globe made up of twelve chromolithgographed raised gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the oceans showing relative depths, ocean currents and the extent of polar ice, the continents shaded to show relative height above sea-level and showing rivers, mountains and cities, but no territorial delineations (some small paint marks, some faint discolourations, small paper loss to South Pole), with stamped brass meridian circle and horizon ring, on four curved brass quadrant supports atop a tall ebonised turned fruitwood pillar and square stepped plinth base -- 40in. (101.6cm.) high
