Crouching with the elbows on the knees, the forearms missing, finely carved facial features, a cavity in the top of the head, the figure leaning against a structure or chair at the top of which appear to be the legs of a further figure now missing

Provenance
Harold Dobinson, Sergeant in the Royal Engineers, posted to Sierra Leone in 1943 to set up a sawmill. He remained there until 1950 working for the Government Forestry Commission.
