A Georgian Infantry Officer's Sword
An attractive officer's sword of 1822 pattern, with 32in. (82 cm) pipe-backed blade by Moore Late Bicknell & Moore, Old Bond St, both sides bearing an etched panel containing W IV R. cypher within a laurel-wreath, the gilt-brass hilt with matching cypher, and fish-skin grip, in black leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts, the locket engraved with name of same maker (scabbard sheared below the middle-band; gilt of mounts somewhat rubbed).
