A pair of 1881-pattern twisted gold shoulder-cords on scarlet lining, bearing embroidered QVCs (now also fitted with metal stars), with gilt buttons bearing XXIV within a crowned Strap inscribed ADEN.

The 24th Bombay N.I. were one of the few regiments awarded the battle honour "Aden" for their part in suppressing disturbances by dissident tribesmen intent on disrupting the British coaling-station.
