Two Officers' Victorian Undress Jackets of the 52nd Light Infantry

An officer's scarlet shell-jacket with buff facings, with characteristic cord loop on collar, originally with ten (now only three) small regimental buttons in front (the jacket appears never to have had shoulder-cords or straps); and an unusual jacket, probably of the same regiment, cut as a shell-jacket but never fitted with buttons or button-holes in front, pointed buff cuffs with rimmed buttons above, bearing 52 (without Bugle-horn) within a laurel wreath.
