FOUR PUEBLO POTTERY VESSELS
The first an Acoma polychrome bowl, of globular form, painted in red and black against a cream slip, decorated with a band of linked diamond motifs enclosing floral designs, enclosed by solid band borders at top and bottom, hatching overall, signed on the base Acoma, N.M.; the second a Hopi polychrome jar, with small base, rounded sides tapering to short neck, painted in red and brown over a light beige slip, decorated with an elaborate band of geometric elements, signed on the base James G. Nampeyo; the third an Acoma polychrome jar, with small base flaring sides, rounded shoulder, slightly tapering to the neck, painted in black and red against a white slip, decorated with a wide band of linked stylized wing motifs, surmounted by a narrow band of linked triangular designs, signed on the base L. Garcia, Acoma; the fourth an Acoma/Laguna polychrome jar, of compressed form, the exterior painted in red and black matte against a white matte slip, decorated with floral motifs alternating with diamond designs enclosing triangles, the interior painted in highly polished white slip, signed on the base C.J. Shije
