Lot Essay
This doll accompanied by its original collection tag.
This lot and lot 275 are accompanied by a letter from Barry Goldwater, dated November 26, 1957, to the consignor stating, "The two Kachinas that you have that were obtained by your father and mother in the West are undoubtly very old ones and their age adds of course tremendously to their value.
It is not too difficult to get specific dolls, but it is very difficult to get old ones, because they were the first to be obtained from the families on the Hopi reservation and today are practically none of them left."
