TWO HUNNISH GOLD, GARNET AND GILT BRONZE BUCKLES
circa 5th century a.d.
Each with a gilt bronze oval loop, round in section, and a gilt bronze club-shaped tongue, the gold spade-shaped attachment-plate with two extended strips folded over the loop and riveted in place, the attachment-plate set with two flat garnets together forming a heart, and outlined with an incised line, the gold back-plate joined by means of three rivets
