(19 x 13 in.), ON FINE PARCHMENT, endorsed on top left, intact blue paper seal of the United States at left, bold heading at top "The President of the United States of America," beneath which an American Eagle and the "E Pluribus Unum" motto fly above billowing clouds, at bottom a large vignette of crossed flags, cannons and other military paraphernalia, accomplished in manuscript, in good condition. President Lincoln and Secretary Stanton appoint Rollin C. Olin Assistant Adjutant General of Volunteers with the rank of Captain.
