With browned twist barrels signed in full on the rib, patent recessed breeches each with three gold lines, the nipples screwed into the rear of the breeches, long foliate engraved tang inlaid with maker's gold mark, signed locks engraved with foliage and dogs, scroll engraved characteristic hammers, figured walnut half-stock, chequered grip and fore-end, silver escutcheon, engraved iron mounts (worn), and associated brass-mounted ramrod (worn and refinished throughout), Birmingham proof marks
