The first with swamped octagonal multigroove rifled twist barrel, patent breech, engraved lock signed in silver, full stock, chequered butt, engraved iron mounts, butt-trap with scallop-shaped cover, and later ramrod, Lige proof; the second with blued barrels, the top one signed and dated, belt hook, chequered butt (later), butt-trap, and stirrup ramrod (refinished throughout), Birmingham proof marks; the third with scroll engraved back-action locks and mounts, half-stock, chequered butt, butt-trap, and later ramrod (hammers replaced), Lige proof
