With two-stage barrel (some discolouration) signed in gold at the breech and engraved 'Guss Stahl', tangent back-sight graduated to 600 meters, bayonet catch at the muzzle, scroll engraved patent breech, long tang engraved with a trophy of arms and scrollwork en suite with the detented lock, walnut three-quarter stock (toe of butt an old replacement), chequered grip, raised cheek-piece, steel mounts including foliate engraved spur trigger-guard inlaid with owner's initials in gold, set trigger, steel sling swivels and ramrod tube, and steel ramrod with Wurstemberger-system shoulder on the head
