The first with swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with seven grooves, later gold-inlaid inscription 'A. Thngen', rounded lock inscribed 'A. Thngen', walnut full stock (wormed and repaired, fore-end and pipes replaced), later patch-box cover, iron mounts including pierced scrolled side-plate, spurred trigger-guard, iron sling swivels (one later), and later horn-tipped wooden ramrod; the second with swamped octagonal sighted barrel cut with six grooves, lock of traditional form, full stock with hinged patch-box cover beneath the butt, and later steel-tipped wooden ramrod (some replacements throughout)
