With two-stage barrel retaining most of its original blued and gilt finish and with sighting flat, silver fore-sight, and three gold lines at the muzzle, the breech section octagonal then polygonal, signed in gold, and with gilt girdle and a gilt panel at the rear, blued and gilt tang, signed flat bevelled lock engraved with rocailles and scrollwork, moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock, iron mounts engraved en suite with the lock, and original horn-tipped whalebone ramrod
