Third quarter of the 17th Century
With swamped octagonal sighted barrel struck with three acorn marks and 'HE' conjoined (Neue Stckel 2821), blued flat lock with integral wheel-cover and sliding pan-cover with baluster release button, lightly carved walnut full stock (minor damage) decorated with panels of imitation staghorn, studded with dome-headed steel nails, and inlaid with an elaborate design of steel wire scrolls and pellets on the butt and opposite the lock, raised cheek-piece, sliding patch-box cover, set trigger, iron mounts, iron fore-end cap, and original iron-tipped ramrod
