The first with case-hardened turn-off barrels engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzles, signed scroll engraved brass action (mechanism defective), engraved thumbpiece safety-catch, blued folding trigger, chequered figured swelling walnut butt, white metal escutcheon, and much original finish, London proof marks; the second with reblued octagonal turn-off barrel numbered '1' and engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle and breech, signed scroll engraved action, thumbpiece safety-catch, folding trigger, swelling chequered walnut butt, silver escutcheon, and scroll engraved silver butt-cap (some pitting and discolouration), London proof marks; the last with signed octagonal turn-off barrel, engraved action, folding trigger, chequered walnut butt, white metal escutcheon, and engraved white metal butt-cap, Birmingham proof marks
