With heavy rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels (signatures recut), patent breeches each with two platinum lines and platinum plug, engraved tangs, signed engraved locks with safety-catches, the hammers each with detachable striker, figured walnut half-stocks, chequered butts, engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheons, barrel-bolt escutcheons and fore-end caps, and later ramrods (in worn and repaired condition): in original fitted mahogany case lined in dark green velvet, with accessories including Forsyth bullet mould, the lid with trade label of the fourth design (1816-30), and flush-fitting carrying handle, London proof marks
