A Southern European fruitwood, parquetry and tulipwood crossbanded serpentine secretaire chest, 18th century
Probably Piedmontese, veneered with radiating feathered veneered panels within tulipwood meandering ogee scroll borders, the fall enclosing an undulating fitted interior with central mirrored compartment, possibly later and leather lined writing surface, containing three long drawers below, between canted angles with similar inlay, on bracket feet
