Depicting a horseman in profile to the right, the youthful figure with wavy hair, a cape draped around his neck, wearing a short tunic and high boots, holding the reins in his right hand, the horse with his right fore-leg raised, its head turned slightly to the right, a flaming altar before them, a dog with its nose to the ground between the legs of the horse, framed by pillasters supporting an arch
