TWO ETRUSCAN BRONZE LADLES
circa late 6th-early 5th century b.c.
Each ladle (simpulum), with a shallow rounded bowl, with raised points on the rim on either side where the bowl joins the long strap handle, the large ladle with a double hooked terminal, both in the form of the head of a water fowl with stamped circular eyes, the upper edge of the handle with a band of dentate molding on three sides below the terminals, the smaller ladle with a single hooked terminal of similar form, also with dentate molding below
