Lot Essay

The consignor of this lot kindly had the inscription cartouches translated by a Persian scholar. The inscription reads as follows:
"My dear Beloved, when I feel sad and down, you brighten my life like a glow in the night.
I am not worried about anything in life, since my Beloved is in love with me and the gardens that I have planted for her.
My Beloved, you are the sweet girl wearing a red scarf, sitting at the top of the valley in my heart."
