With certificate 9809437 dated 6/10/98 from the Gbelin Gem Lab, Ltd. stating that the orangy-pink sapphire shows no indications of thermal enhancement. Sapphires which have not been enhanced by heat are rare. This colour variety of corundum may also be called padparadscha in the trade.
