Early 19th Century
The rounded rectangular white marble top above a frieze drawer centred by a musical trophy, above a hinged fall-front decorated with a scrolling foliate mount, with a green leather-lined writing surface to the reverse and a fitted birch interior with two shelves beneath an arch, above a large central drawer flanked by two small drawers to either side, above three drawers, flanked by turned pilasters terminating in rounded bun feet, inscribed on the reverse H.P.M./No.584 and 79, minor restorations
