An ivory shibayama style rounded rectangular cigar case
hinged to the centre, one side inlaid in mother-of-pearl, stained ivory, horn and coral with two quail beneath bamboo, the reverse decorated in gold lacquer and red lacquer with a vase of flowers -- 5.7/8in. (15cm) high, 19th Century, (minor losses).
